Last Saturday, the Sausage Dog Box Team (and some very photogenic dachshunds!) embarked on a hot dog filled day, capturing the essence of our furry friends for the launch of our new Dachshund Harness Collections. From saucy prints to charitable causes, our collections aim to combine style with purpose.
A common problem dachshunds tend to face is getting sore behind the front legs due to poor fitting harnesses. We’ve alleviated this with a range of five fantastic harnesses that have been specifically designed to fit a dachshunds shape, so that an ‘anti-rub harness’ truly means no rubbing and ultimate comfort.
What's even better, is whilst every dachshund harness collection supports some incredible charities, there is a range of matching accessories for your sausage dog. These include poop bag holders, leads, collars, dachshund bandanas and ridiculously soft blankets for the sausage dogs who love to snuggle. Saucy Sausage Collection

The Saucy Sausage Collection supports the Dog Meat Trade Dachshund Rescue. The wonderful volunteers rescue dachshunds from the dog meat trade in Asia. We want to ensure they can save as many dachshunds as possible, and every penny is used in the rescue and rehabilitation of the dogs they save. We love dachshunds and want them all to have the loving homes they deserve, which is why we’ve chosen to support DMT. #nodachshundleftbehind
Weiner on Wheels Collection
Our "Weiner on Wheels" collection goes beyond aesthetics. Supporting IVDD charities, this line is dedicated to raising awareness about Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a common spinal condition in dachshunds. Did you know that IVDD is often linked to their unique long bodies and short legs? Dedicated to Dachshunds have not only provided invaluable advice to some of our brand ambassadors who have sadly suffered with the cruel disease, they’ve also loaned vital equipment. We feel so passionately about the incredible work the Dedicated to Dachshunds IVDD charity do, that 10% of the proceeds from this line will be donated to support them, so they can continue to support others.
Chasing Rainbows Collection
Pink makes the sausages wink, well maybe it doesn’t . . . . because dachshunds can’t see colour. However, if they could LET ME TELL YOU they’d choose this collection!
This show stopping collection supports the Wellbeing Of Woman Charity. Sausage Dog Box is a woman led business, and whilst we are strong and powerful ladies, we’ve had some challenge woman related health conditions to contend with. Wellbeing Of Woman invest In ground-breaking research to find the next breakthrough in woman’s health. The work they do is second to none and we’re so happy to be supporting such a driven and important charity.

Up, Up, and Away Collection
The "Up, Up, and Away" collection brings colour and joy to your dog's daily walks while supporting the Blue Cross charity. These collections contribute to the welfare of animals in need, and on a more personal note, we’ve been blown away by the support their empathetic and truly wonderful volunteers have kindly given us. Blue Cross has been tirelessly working to provide support and care to pets and their owners for over a century.
Glow Getter Collection
For the night owls and evening strollers, our "Glow Getter" collection takes center stage. Reflective and featuring flashing buckles, this line ensures safety during night-time walks. Style meets functionality as your dachshund shines bright in the dark.
This bright collection is supporting The Red Foundation, an emergency dachshund rescue in the UK. The brilliant volunteers are the glimmer of light for dachshunds who are in desperate situations and they not only help to facilitate the rescue of dachshunds in need, they are also true advocates of the sometimes complex breed and supply lifetime support for the incredible adopters and fosterers who give lots of sausage dogs loving homes when they need them most.
Dachshund Photoshoot
During our photoshoot extravaganza, we had the pleasure of hosting Margo, a 4-year-old red beauty with a brown nose, treat-driven and a true delight in front of the camera. Minky, a 2-year-old light red dynamo, can literally do backflips for a bit of cheese, adding an extra layer of charm. Below is a little pic of them showing off the Up,Up and Away daxie harnesses that support Blue Cross.
Minnie is our senior 7 year old with so much sass. This lovely little black and tan weenie dog looks stunning in our Chasing Rainbows collection.
Frank, or rather ‘King Frank’ as he’s better known as. Frank isn’t new to having his pictures taken, as his 11k followers already know. Seriously though, these collection were quite literally made for Frank, and doesn't he look like a very hot dog in our Saucy Sausage harnie!
Lottie, the 6-month-old dapple, graced us with her presence, showcasing her most beautiful sparkly eyes. This wonderful little weiner dog wowed us in our Weiner on Wheels collection and looked dazzling in our Glow Getter set.
Lastly, Sybil, a sweet almost 2 year-old chocolate dachshund, stole our hearts with her adorable demeanor. Sybil’s lovely pawrents made a joke about going into ‘Pagent Mum Mode’ however Sybil didn’t need any pressure during her session, she was a natural dachshund model and the photo’s speak for themself! The huge amount of Country Cheddar cheese available helped.
We couldn’t be happier with the results of our Sausage Dog Box photoshoot and the outcome of our Saucy Sausage, Chasing Rainbows, Weiner On Wheels, Glow Getter and Up, Up & Away Collections. In conclusion, we have designed a ground-breaking fit to suit dachshunds needs, some outstanding designs, and these collections make it possible for us to support some truly remarkable charities.
